A group of players from Church Fenton FC have just successfully completed the National 3-Peaks challenge to raise money for the Anthony Nolan charity. The challenge comprises of hiking up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon, each of which are the highest peaks in their respective countries. A total of 24 miles walking and 600 miles of driving, all in 24 hours!

Unfortunately, Jayne, the mother of one of the club’s players was re-diagnosed with a rare blood cancer, 10 years after her first stem cell transplant. This has resulted in her undergoing not only Chemotherapy once more, but a second stem cell transplant. Thankfully, she is now on the road to recovery, thanks to the help of Anthony Nolan and Leeds St James hospital.  Due to the work that Anthony Nolan do, Jayne and many others have been given a second (and even third!) chance at a happy and healthy life, so please donate what you can as every donation goes along way and is appreciated a lot.

Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. They do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. They also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. They won’t stop until they save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.

Please keep the donations coming, it’s greatly appreciated.
