The York Football League was established in 1897 as an Adult Men's League, 125 years ago, when there were no Youth/Mini Soccer or Girls Football Leagues. From the start of the 2025/26 season to streamline the administration processes for all member clubs, the league now incorporates the York Sunday Men's League, the York and District Youth League and the Girls Football League and the Scarborough Minor League. Following the merger of Club Officials can now contact League Administrators based at North Riding County FA HQ Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 01642 717770, Aimee Leonard (Adult Teams) and Callum Guy (Youth and Girls teams) Divisional secretaries are still contactable to deal with any queries on a weekend, please see division contact details for more information.

The league covers junior & adult female and male grassroot football teams. With 700 teams now in the league, from 100 different clubs with 78 divisions there is a place for all abilities, from a wide area to enjoy football. Using our club finder you can also check out those teams nearest to you.
